Need Help? Read Our Treadmill Buyer's Guide

AFG came out with this line a few years ago and they really brought a lot of new features to the table. With a solid deck and large motor this treadmill is made for running and is a non folding tank of a unit at the new $1699 price point.

The Passport feature that AFG 7.1AT treadmill offers is really cool and worth trying out at your local dealer. It will actually project a high definition course onto a connected TV and match your pace to progression thru the course. A lot of out door runners who prefer chasing a horizon really like this and others could care less. It is one of those features that I describe as either love or hate. Even if the courses aren’t your bag the ability to put your treadmill info as an overlay to your tv shows is a nice headsup feature for users watching tv while on the unit.

This unit compares well to the True and Precors in the same price range with its full range of features, but the other brands shock absorption is a bit superior in my opinion. This is why I always suggest running on a unit before buying because only you can decide what you like to run on.

The unit also has a very solid warranty backed by one of the largest companies in the industry. With five years on parts and 2 years labor the really is no need for an extended warranty.

This easy-to-use workout accessory is included with the AFG 7.1AT treadmill at no additional cost, and requires no wires or connections between your treadmill and TV.

The AFG 7.1AT offers more tools to meet your needs. This treadmill is Made for iPod, so you can dock and control your iPod directly from the console. The easy-to-read, 16-digit alphanumeric LED provides more of the instant, at-a-glance feedback you need. And you’ll always stay motivated while the dynamic, built-in speaker system lets you blast your favorite workout tunes.

Nike + iPod workout tracking

Join one of the world’s biggest running groups with Nike + iPod, which automatically saves all your workout data directly to your iPod® so you can track your progress on Simply connect your iPod device to the Made for iPod connector and begin your workout while your pace, distance, time and calories burned are saved to your device. Once you’ve finished, connect the iPod to your computer, where iTunes syncs your workout data directly to Every workout and every run is there, ready for you to review.

In Summary:

A very solid unit that is worth trying in this price point and has a lot of cool features that may keep you coming back for more miles. The unit is made for running and has a good feel and actually feels like a more expensive unit. This unit is definitely worth a run if you are in this price point, especially after its recent price drop to $1699.
